Map Information

A sample of the new Sedberg School area is at right. This will be the first event on that map. Middle courses at 1:10000, Sprint at 1:5000.

The Lapeche map near Wakefield, QC will be used for Sunday's long courses.  The original map was used for the 1996 COC's. The area was partially updated and used last year for our O-fest long courses. We will be updating more of the map for this year's courses. To be fair to all competitors, we have attached a .pdf of last year's O-fest map for your review. Click HERE to view it.

Location and Directions

You may find this Google interactive map of event sites and camping helpful

Saturday - Sedbergh School: If you have ever skied section 5 of the Canadian Ski Marathon, you will remember their beautiful campus.

From across the Ottawa river in Gatineau, take major highway 50 east for 30km and exit at Masson/Buckingham to follow old highway 148 to Montebello. After 40km, at the first lights in Montebello, turn left (north) onto highway 323 towards St. Jovite. After 4.5 km, turn right onto Cote Azelie where there will be signs for the school and orienteering. The school is 1.5 km from that turnoff. Parking attendants will direct you to one of the several small parking areas around the school. Allow 60 minutes drive from the east side of Ottawa.

Note: Route 323 is a 2-lane, busy highway on Saturday mornings with the entrance to the Omega Wildlife Park near to the highway exit to Sedbergh. Cars may be stopped on the highway at the park entrance.

Sunday - P17 Gatineau Park:

From Ottawa take major highway 5 north until it ends in about 20 km. Turn right and at the lights, turn left onto highway 105 north. After 8 km you will come to another set of lights for the turnoff to Wakefield. Proceed straight on highway105 for 600 metres to P17 on your left.
