Calling all Meet Directors!
As you know, we rely on club members to organize a full calendar of events in the Ottawa-Gatineau region each year. If you are already a qualified meet director, start thinking about planning a meet this year. If you didn’t plan one last year, we’d certainly appreciate your help this year!

We are looking for new meet directors to join our team!
If you enjoy orienteering, are interested to learn more about the sport, and would like to see many local events offered in future years, you may wish to consider learning how to organize a local event for your fellow orienteers. It’s a great way to make friends in the local orienteering community and contribute to the success of Orienteering Ottawa!
Training courses at the O100 and O200 levels will be offered this spring. Send an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. Meet Directors Workshop
We will be hosting a meet director’s workshop on April 13th at 6pm at the Tanglewood Community Center (30 Woodfield Dr) with an 80 minute presentation by Team Canada athlete Eric Kemp who sets excellent courses.  Eric will be sharing advanced course setting techniques.  All meet directors are invited to attend, including new meet directors who will be taking their O100 training course this year.  Free pizza will be served so don’t miss it!  This will be an excellent opportunity to chat with fellow meet directors about past and future meets and to exchange ideas.
