Orienteering Ottawa Membership 2024-25
This form lets you buy a membership for Orienteering Ottawa for up to 6 family members of a household .
Note: It seems this may not connect to Paypal from a cell phone. If you have a laptop available, that might be a better choice.

Full information and benefits of season's pass. Be sure to read carefully. The season's pass is valid to end of year 2024. It is NOT valid for the Winter Series.
Signing of our waiver : Before taking part in our activities, each person must sign a waiver once per year. Parents or guardians must sign for minors 18 and younger. Adults must sign for themselves - not for other adults.
The online waiver is available in two places. If, as a member, you wish to see more about the club and/or run the mapRun events, you will need to create an account on our site and then log in and sign the waiver in the 'For Members' section of the site. If you do not want to create an account (you just want to take part in programs or Sunday event) you can sign the waiver here .
Once completing the form, please click on the 'continue' button at bottom right and you will be given:
- a summary of information to check
- Payment through Paypal which allows credit card or Paypal payment
Mandatory fields are marked with '*'. Please list all children who may be accompanying you, even the 'baby in arms'.
Cost of membership is adult $25, youth (8-20 within the current year) $10, child (0-7) free
Cost of Season's Pass adult $110 , youth $70 , child $0
Form registers up to 6 indiv. in one family - one set of contact info. Each person can purchase a pass, but if any pass is purchased the waiver must be signed for all.
What to check for when making any changes -in advanced/more options
1.Google spread sheet still attached (needed if admin needs immediate knowledge of new member) - doesn't work just now
2. Mailchimp still active
3. FORMNAME is correct in public_html/media/breezingforms/mailtpl/FORMNAME_mailbckhtml.php
and that the mailback information is correct - check the membership date
in form itself:
1. Paypal element is set to prod (not test in options) , Has FORMNAME correct in 'thankyou page'.
2. elements do not change name without checking with Steve to see if he uses them for his membership program
3. contact email has 'mailback' checked in options.
4. FORMName is also correct in more - scripts/form initialization
GENERAL INFORMATION
Form allows registration for up to 6 people all with same contact information. persons 3-6 are hidden at first and only display if previous entry has a fname. Visibility rules, (advanced on full form) - although they don't seem to be used are essential for this to work.
Toggle init needs to hide any checkbox or list field for non-used members 2-6
Hidden field 'total_cost' is needed for Paypal and comes from Total cost which does the calculation and displays with the '$'
CHANGE HISTORY
May 2021 - Still in Covid time - so passes are edited out, Google spreadsheet must be filled out so we can tell immediately if account should be approved.
April 2021 - modified Gender for gender diversity. <br/p> - moved assessment of age group from ff_yob2_action to cost_init
April 2022 - reinstate season pass with increased cost.
Jan 2023 - Removed all reference to passes. They fluctuate too often and cannot be offered at one point and removed for another period of time.

As a member, we invite you to create a login to our site. This will give you, when logged in, access to the "For Members" section where you will be able to view minutes of board meetings and Annual General Meeting to see greater detail about our activities.
Waiver: If you have not already done so for the year 2024-25, you will need to sign the new year's waiver. If you have a club account, you will need to sign the waiver in the 'For Members' section to gain full access to our popular MapRun activities and other pages in that section. If you do not want to create an account (you just want to take part in programs or Sunday event) you can sign here.
